Prevent: Preventing sexual exploitation and sex trafficking is done through education and addressing the needs of the community. It is essential for communities to understand the different approaches that sex traffickers use to manipulate children, women, and men. The never-ending cycle of selling and buying a sexual exploitation individual is never okay, which why it is vital to educate communities about sexual exploitation.

PROJECT

Resources

While we wish we could help every victim of sexual exploitation, we simply do not have the means and resources necessary to do so.

However, other non-profit organizations hold similar values, and we encourage you to reach out to other organizations if you feel as though Amending Sexual Exploitation does not fit your individual needs.

We want nothing more than to aid you or your loved one towards recovery, and we pride ourselves on assisting the needs of others, even if that means putting you in contact with other organizations.

Together we are all fighting to end sexual exploitation.

Thorn: Why This Matters

According to Thorn’s website, their mission is to “partner across the tech industry, government and NGOs and leverage technology to combat predatory behavior, rescue victims, and protect vulnerable children.” Ashton describes Thorn “as an organization with a mission to drive tech innovation in the fight against trafficking.”

The site also lists 20 members of what it calls The Thorn Technology Task Force,
“comprised of technology companies that lend their knowledge, time and resources to the work that they do. Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Adobe are listed among the names who are helping Thorn’s cause.”

While sex trafficking is a worldwide issue, what many don’t know is that it is only made worse by pornography. Many trafficking victims are filmed and forced to be on camera, and the result usually ends up online.
